Paul Killino
Born to fish, forced to work. Paul started fishing as a young boy on family vacations to Central Pennsylvania and the Jersey Shore. Paul has been fishing the Rocky Mountains for over 25 years and guides year-round for Colorado River Outfitters, only taking time off to experience fly fishing in other destinations of the world. Paul’s guiding history is marked by a high energy level and professional attention to deadline and detail. He demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying credibility and enhancing customer satisfaction. “I am grateful to have a profession that I truly love and enjoy. Guiding gives me the opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world, it’s fun, I have a great office and I simply enjoy seeing anyone catch fish on a fly."
Matthew Weldon
Born in Hickory, North Carolina Matthew grew up fishing both saltwater and freshwater since the age of two. He moved to Colorado in 2010 and has been enjoying everything outdoors ever since. His passion for fly fishing and being outdoors is contagious. “When I’m not fly fishing I often find myself around the river enjoying another passion of mine which is photography and videography”.
Anna Mattingly
Born and raised in Oregon, Anna spent a lot of time deep sea fishing off the Oregon coast in addition to fishing the beautiful rivers throughout the state. Anna relocated to Lake Tahoe in 2009 and pursued her passion for fly fishing and being outdoors - often finding herself catching beautiful trout on the Truckee River! Enjoying her fifth year in the Vail Valley, she has a talent for hospitality as well and works as a manager at a high-end resort. What she enjoys most about being a guide is putting people on big fish and watching their excitement. Anna's passion for all things fish and our beautiful rivers is contagious!
Keith Samuelson
Sammy grew up fishing the shores of Long Island Sound where he obtained his boating license years before his driver’s license. He moved to the Vail Valley in 1993 and within a few years, he traded in his kayak gear for a fly rod. Sammy has fly fished throughout the Rocky Mountain region and all across the Caribbean. "I truly love guiding for Paul and with the guides at CRO. It really is a team effort here, everyone puts forth a 100 effort to make each day special. We often joke that without the teamwork, you can't make the dream work".
Bill Perry
Began guiding here in the Vail Valley in 1987. Administrated over 10,000 fly fishing trips and has logged over 20,000 plus river miles on the Eagle, Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. A Member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame and Colorado Master Angler. International Game and Fish Association world record awarded for Kokanee Salmon caught in the South Platte River here in Colorado.
